Happy New Year to all from the CKD crew!

After a month off and some date related confusion around the last even we are back at our usual slot on Tuesday, 17 January from 8.00pm until 11pm (and most likely later.)

CKD is held at Hidden Rooms, located at The Basement, 7a Jesus Lane, Cambridge, CB5 8BA.

Please note that this venue is actually hidden! If you look out for a Pizza Express on the right as you head up into town via Jesus Lane there is a door to the right of the restaurant with steps down to the basement. We have a private room to the left of the stairs but it you do get lost let one of the bar staff know and they’ll be happy to direct you.

There is parking around the corner at Park Street car park,. More info here. And for the low low price of 70p per hour!

My perverted yet welcoming self @Vindicated and the possibly even more perverted and totally awesome @Mrglove will be kicking things on with a meet and greet from 7.30 for anyone new and wanting an introduction to some of the better known people or just a friendly chat to calm your nerves before things get busy.

If you would like to speak to a member of the group before the event please contact either myself or mrglove via fetlife.

Along with good company and a selection of delicious cocktails we will also be bringing along a selection of toys to try out*, things to read and munchies to keep your energy levels up.

Now, some serious stuff.

We have been talking over Christmas about how we’d like the event to continue. Having gone from a bi-monthly to a monthly event and having a main munch on in Cambridge already we feel that we would like this event to be more focused on the younger members of the scene.

Therefore from here on out we will be running CKD as an under-35’s event. Please get in touch with one of us directly if you’d prefer to share your thoughts in private.

A caveat to this is that if you are under 35 and do have an older partner we don’t want you to feel excluded and we are happy for you both to come along. We will also consider exceptions for some regular attendees of both CKD and the munch on a case-by-case basis.

Cambridge Munch is held at The Corner House, Newmarket Road, Cambridge, CB5 8JE

We have the exclusive use of a side room but tend to spill out into the body of the pub. The Cornerhouse is an alternative-friendly venue and is fetish-friendly; feel free to dress how you wish (but NO NUDITY).

You must be over 19 to attend the Cambridge munch. If you are lucky enough to look under 21, please be prepared to show ID to one of the organisers.

Please be aware of the Photography policy at the munch.

The venue has its own car park and there is plenty of nearby parking if that gets full. For those on public transport, the pub is a 15-20 minute walk from Cambridge Rail Station and the bus station and is on the Citi 3 which stops at both. You’ll want the Newmarket Rd Tesco stop.

The Cornerhouse also has a reasonable food menu, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.

The munch starts at 8pm but we try to have a member of the team on hand from 7.30pm or earlier to meet and greet anyone new who would like to ease themselves in. Please drop us a memo if you’d like to use the meet & greet service.

Our aim is to provide a friendly environment for people to meet and socialise, so come along and be prepared to mingle, chat and make new friends!

This month we are having a Halloween ball! So get your costumes on and come and join us. We’ll have a prize for the best dressed and will be a very special event.

We have a burlesque dancer confirmed, the lovely Debbie Devine will be holding performances at 9 and 10pm and we’ll also have a selection of music, so dancing and general merrymaking is strongly encouraged.

An annual Cambridge kinky institution, we descend in a large number upon a suspecting local pub whereupon we eat a Christmas themed dinner and try to get spanked by Santa. The Christmas dinner is organised by @Marmite and promises fun and frivolity for all attendees.
